While we were staying in Buenos Aires, Argentina we visited Uruguay which is a stone’s throw away distance from Buenos Aires. With a one-hour ferry trip you can reach Colonia del Sacramento in Uruguay from Buenos Aires. We spent 5 days in Uruguay and visited one of the oldest towns in Uruguay; Colonia del Sacramento, the capital of Uruguay; Montevideo and Miami of South America; Punta Del Este. We found many common things between Uruguay and Argentina. Uruguay was a little bit expensive than Argentina though.
You can read all of my previous posts, articles, pictures and experiences about Uruguay using this link, and for more travel expenses and travel costs information, check out my Vacation Cost Series. I always keep note of my expenses while I am travelling and also in my daily life. This time, I want to share some basic expenditures we did in Uruguay. I hope it may give an idea of planning a trip to Colonia, Montevideo and Punta Del Este.
